BATHROOM RENOVATION

WOODVILLE RESIDENCE

This is an example of a bathroom transformation Edwards Brothers carried out. As you can see from the before photos the bathroom was quite outdated and in need of a renovation. The existing bathroom and toilet where separate so we removed 2 walls and a section of the old entrance to create one big bathroom. Fortunately, in this case the walls where not load bearing so no structural work was required in the ceiling space. We also added a linen press in the hallway.

All the existing concrete ﬂoors where removed and new underﬂoor plumbing was laid. Floor sprayed for pest control, forticon plastic and mesh installed ready for new concrete slab. New slab poured. New entrance wall and linen press framing built, sheeted and ﬂushed. 2 new aluminium windows installed.

All hot and cold water pipes and electrical were replaced and chased into the walls. Once all the ﬁrst ﬁx plumbing and electrical was complete all walls where patched in preparation for the tiling to start. After the tiling is complete all the ﬁxtures and accessories and shower screen are installed, and the transformation is complete and ready for use.

On average a renovation like this generally takes 3 weeks from start to ﬁnish.

DEMOLITION

Removal of all existing ﬁxtures and ﬁttings, tiles, gyprock and dividing walls in preparation for required works,

FIRST FIX

Installation of gyprock walls ready for tiling to begin.

PLUMBING

Reconﬁgurating the existing layout to suit the new layout by relocating ﬂoor plumbing.

second fix

Installation of all new ﬁxtures and ﬁttings - vanity, bath, taps, toilet, towel rails etc.
